El Jardín Zoológico de Karlsruhe es un jardín urbano con zoológico en el suroeste de Karlsruhe. Le pertenece el área exterior del Parque de Animales Oberwald al sureste de la ciudad. En una superficie de alrededor de 22 hectáreas, además del Parque de Animales Oberwald con una superficie de 16 hectáreas, viven alrededor de 3000 animales de más de 240 especies. El jardín está al norte de la estación central y al sur del centro de congresos de Karlsruhe, entre los distritos de Südstadt y Südweststadt. El zoológico fue inaugurado en 1865, lo que lo convierte en uno de los más antiguos de Alemania. El jardín y el zoológico forman un área común, vallada, y no se pueden visitar por separado. El área está administrada por dos autoridades municipales, la Oficina de Jardinería y el Zoológico. El Jardín Zoológico de Karlsruhe está protegido como patrimonio en su totalidad.
