El castillo de Nieder-Modau es un castillo en ruinas situado en el Schlossberg cerca de Modau, un distrito de Ober-Ramstadt, en el distrito de Darmstadt-Dieburg en Hesse.
El Schlossberg, que tiene casi forma de cono y hoy está nuevamente cubierto de bosques, se encuentra aproximadamente a 12 kilómetros al sureste de la ciudad de Darmstadt en Hesse del Sur, en el área del Odenwald delantero, al norte de Nieder-Modau y al sur de Ober-Ramstadt, y tiene una altura de aproximadamente 280 metros. Hoy, el camino de senderismo O4 de la ciudad de Ober-Ramstadt, el Silberbergweg, también pasa por la colina del castillo. La montaña es rodeada por el Modau en una media vuelta desde el suroeste hacia el norte.
