El cementerio de Ripoll fue diseñado por el arquitecto Antoni Coll Fort en 1903. Se trataba de una ruptura con la tradición medieval donde el campo mortuorio se situaba anteriormente dentro de la trama urbana, una continuidad del espacio reservado a los vivos con el de los muertos.
