La chiesa di Nostra Signora dell'Assistenza Perpetua in piazza Monseigneur Nolens è stata costruita nel 1952.
Come l'intero quartiere Heuvelkwartier, la chiesa è costruita nello stile della Scuola di Delft.
In particolare, la Scuola di Delft ha avuto una grande influenza sull'architettura ecclesiastica cattolica. Sono caratteristiche della Scuola di Delft l'uso quasi esclusivo di mattoni, ampie cornici e balconi (spesso in colori chiari), linee di gronda alte, siepi verdi, i tetti alti coperti di tegole tra le facciate e l'uso di pietra naturale in punti strutturalmente importanti.
La chiesa ha il soprannome: 'Il Lettino'.
La chiesa è stata dismessa come luogo di culto dal settembre 2008.
L'ex chiesa è rimasta il fulcro del quartiere, ma ora come centro comunitario De Vlieren.
