Op 14 februari 1983 werd hier in Plancenoit een Golf Rabbit gestolen die men later zou linken aan de activiteiten van de Bende van Nijvel. Op het moment dat Mevr. Geneviève Van Lidth de Jeugd zich klaarmaakte om naar huis te gaan, wordt ze bedreigd door een man die uit een Peugeot 504 stapte. De man had een zwarte bivakmuts over zijn hoofd getrokken en was met een pistool gewapend. Haar Golf Rabbit werd in Plancenoit gestolen. Veertien dagen na de diefstal van een Volkswagen Golf in Plancenoit overvallen drie zwaar bewapende individuen de Delhaize van Fort Jaco, gelegen aan de Waterloosteenweg in Ukkel. Later werd die Golf teruggevonden in Bois de Hourpes.
