In 2018 werd de wegbedekking op de top helemaal opnieuw aangepakt. Dit levert een mooie, veilige afdaling op van 7 km @ 4,5% richting Saint-Sauveur-Gouvernet.
Vanaf Sainte Jalle is de beklimming meer dan 12km lang, met een gemiddelde van 3%. De laatste 3 km zijn echter een stuk steiler met enkele mooie haarspeldbochten.
