Aquesta capella es troba al mig d'una 'rotonda' en un petit parc. Un banc et convida a agenollar-te i a pregar. Els arbres s'han renovat recentment (2020).
La paraula capella deriva del llatí cappa = mantell, diminutiu capella, i fa referència al mantell de Sant Martí , bisbe de Tours. Sant Martí va regalar la seva mitja capa a un pobre, la mitja capa es va convertir en una relíquia i la sala on es guardava la capa va passar a anomenar-se per metonímia capella o capella. A partir del segle VII, la capella es va convertir en el nom d'un (petit) lloc de culte.
