València és una ciutat, capital del País Valencià i de la província homònima. També és coneguda tradicionalment com a Cap i Casal, la Ciutat de les Mil Torres i la capital del Túria, pel fet d'estar situada a la vora d'este riu. És el tercer municipi per població d'Espanya, amb 789.744 habitants , mentre que l'àrea metropolitana té, segons la mateixa font, 1.541.047 habitants, fet que la convertix també en la tercera àrea metropolitana d'Espanya.
