Faggen strømmer fra Gepatschferner sydøst for Weißseespitze, flyder gennem Kaunertal i nordlig, derefter i vestlig retning og munder ved Prutz i en højde af 859 m i Inn. Den har en længde på ca. 31 km. I den øvre del blev Gepatsch-dammen anlagt, som forsynes af Faggenbach og dens bifloder samt gennem overførsler fra bjergbække fra nabodalene. Over en 13,2 km lang trykledning ledes vandet ind i kraftværket ved Prutz.
