Oven på Bolderberg ligger Kluis, et gammelt eremithus. Kluis stammer fra 1673 og blev bygget efter planerne for kapellet af O.L.Vrouw van Loreto og et par boligarealer. De århundrede gamle bøgetræer i nærheden er imponerende. De naturlige skove på bakken består hovedsageligt af eg og birk - typisk for den sure jord. I nærheden af klosteret har du en fantastisk udsigt over slottet Terlaemen (privat ejendom - ikke tilgængeligt). Haven ved Kluis er omgivet af gamle hækebøgetræer, der er blevet meget velplejede. De 7 lindetræer plantet i en halv cirkel foran bygningen symboliserer Marias 7 sorger. Denne statue står på toppen af facaden af kapellet.
