1912 erbaut als eines von 18 Forts, die Teil des äußeren Rings der Verteidigungslinie von Antwerpen waren. Das Fort mit seinen Gräben ist Teil des Naturschutzgebiets rund um das Klein Schietveld. Das Fort kann nicht besichtigt werden und dient als Winterhotel für 550 Fledermäuse.
