Cunliffe-Owen Aircraft war ein britischer Flugzeughersteller aus der Zeit des Zweiten Weltkriegs. Sie waren hauptsächlich eine Reparatur- und Überholungswerkstatt, aber auch eine Konstruktionswerkstatt für die Entwürfe anderer Unternehmen, insbesondere der Supermarine Seafire. Das Unternehmen führte auch Vertragsarbeiten für das Luftministerium, Lord Rootes, Shorts und Armstrong Siddeley im Wert von 1,5 Millionen Pfund durch. Nach dem Krieg begann das Unternehmen jedoch, finanzielle Schwierigkeiten zu haben, und im Februar 1947 wurde ein Antrag bei der Midland Bank auf Verlängerung des Überziehungskredits des Unternehmens abgelehnt. Im November desselben Jahres wurde es notwendig, die Produktion des Concordia-Flugzeugs einzustellen – auf dem alle zukünftigen Hoffnungen des Unternehmens beruhten – und sein finanzieller Zusammenbruch wurde unvermeidlich.
