Das Geburtshaus von Hugo de Groot stand an der Alten Langendijk gegenüber dem Chor der Neuen Kirche. Heute befindet sich hier das Tor zu einem Innenhof mit dem Namen Huigh de Groothof. Die Gasse in diesem Hof heißt Maria van Reigersberchstraat, nach Hugos Ehefrau. Neben dem Zugangstor an der Alten Langendijk hängt eine Tafel, die an das Geburtshaus erinnert.
