One of the most modern churches in Belgium, a cathedral of light (1958-1965), built according to the plans of architect Jozef Lantsoght (°1912-1988) from Bruges, height 40 m (tip of the cross). Roof crowning by metal artist Antoon Viaene. Main altar and figure of Christ by M. Witdouck, 752 m2 of stained glass windows in abstract style designed by J. Lefèvre and Fr. Kinnen from Luxembourg. Concrete glass of the entrance doors (210 m2) work of Gabriël Loire from Chartres. Holy water font in ceramic by R. Vandeweghe. Sister Brigitte Loire from Chartres carved the statue of Our Lady. In 1999, the interior and exterior lighting were completely modernized, as well as the sound installations. The church has 1285 seats.
