El imponente paisaje montañoso se agudiza: Zollspitze, Säulspitze, Bretterspitze, Kristallspitze, Kreuzwandspitze… Todas ellas saludan a los senderistas del Adlerweg en esta etapa con sus marcadas cimas. Sin embargo, el camino lleva desde el Kalser Tauernhaus a través de suaves praderas por el encantador valle de las Dorferalmen: Schönebenalm, Bergeralm, Moaebenalm y Moaalm están marcadas por un paisaje idílico y una agricultura intacta, cabañas rústicas ofrecen acogedoras oportunidades de descanso. Después, se inicia la ascensión en dirección al Teischnitztal, el Herrensteig pasa junto al Figerhorn, Freiwandspitze y Fanotkogel hasta llegar a la Stüdlhütte al pie del Großglockner.
