La Hohensyburg, también llamada Syburg, es la ruina de un castillo en lo alto de Syberg, que se eleva a unos 245 m sobre el nivel del mar, sobre la confluencia de los ríos Ruhr y Lenne en el artificial lago Hengsteysee, en el distrito de Syburg, al sur de Dortmund. La Hohensyburg es un destino popular para excursiones. Otras atracciones incluyen la torre Vincke, el monumento a los caídos y el monumento al Kaiser Guillermo. Cerca se encuentran desde 1952 el escenario natural Hohensyburg y desde 1985 el casino Hohensyburg. La zona está designada y protegida como área natural de conservación de las laderas de Ruhrsteilhänge Hohensyburg. La ruta minera de Syburg explora restos de la minería moderna. El castillo está inscrito como monumento arqueológico en la lista de monumentos de la ciudad de Dortmund.
