En el camino hay muchos aspectos destacados por descubrir, incluyendo el puerto con una gran vista, la antigua estación de tren de Vlotho con panadería, así como el moderno edificio de la planta de tratamiento de aguas residuales. Atravesará un tramo de bosque con la tumba de la familia Rolfsmeyer y disfrutará de la primera vista panorámica de Porta con el monumento a Kaiser Wilhelm.
Otro tramo interesante es el camino a través del denso bosque, pasando junto al antiguo guarda forestal. Después de una empinada subida y bajada, llegará a Sperlsiek, seguido de otra etapa cuesta arriba a la sombra del bosque. El punto culminante de esta caminata es la vista a lo largo de la muralla del castillo. Aquí puede elegir entre explorar la ruina del castillo, dar una vuelta alrededor del castillo o descender directamente por el camino del farmacéutico hacia el centro de la ciudad.
La caminata de 7 km ofrece una mezcla variada de naturaleza, historia y desafiantes tramos de terreno.
