Este recorrido fácil de 57 km cruza 12 pueblos, a lo largo de los ríos Fluvià, Brugent y Ter. La ruta del Carrilet tiene una suave pendiente de bajada durante casi toda su longitud, desde Olot (440 m), hasta Girona (75m). El punto más alto es el Coll d'en Bas, a 558 metros sobre el nivel del mar, que se llega durante en los primeros kilómetros del paseo. La salida es óptima para hacer en bicicleta en familia, correr o caminar. Pasa por la antigua línea de ferrocarril y está en muy buenas condiciones, con nuevos puentes, señalización e infraestructura.
