Elverum es un municipio de la provincia de Hedmark, Noruega. Su superficie es de 1229 km² y tiene una población de 20 794 habitantes según el censo de 2015,[1] lo que supone una densidad de 16,1 habitantes/km². Forma parte del distrito tradicional de Østerdalen.
Se trata de un importante nudo de comunicaciones. Hamar se encuentra al oeste, Kongsvinger al sur y Trysil al nordeste, junto a la frontera con Suecia. Limita con los municipios de Åmot al norte, Trysil al nordeste, Våler al sudeste y Løten al oeste.
