Saviez-vous que Jean Neuhaus est l’inventeur du praliné. Il conçoit la prailine en 1912 dans la boutique de son grand-père. Le magasin est toujours là aujourd’hui et peut être vu dans la Galerie de la Reine à Bruxelles. Jean a donc apporté le premier chocolat fourré avec une garniture molle sur le marché. Encore plus. L’invention de la boîte à pralinés, le Ballotin, est également liée à Neuhaus. Quelques années après la première pralinée, sa femme invente le Ballotin. Elle l’avait fait pour la simple raison que lorsqu’elle voyait son mari vendre des pralines et les cacher dans un sac à cônes, elle détestait les voir freiner.
