La bibliothèque Laurentienne est une bibliothèque publique d'État située dans l'enceinte du monastère de la basilique San Lorenzo de Florence, contenant plus de 11 000 manuscrits et 4 500 premiers livres imprimés.
Construite dans un cloître de la basilique sous le patronage du pape de Médicis Clément VII, la bibliothèque a été édifiée pour souligner que les Médicis n'étaient plus des marchands, mais des membres de la société instruite et ecclésiastique. Elle contient les manuscrits et livres appartenant à la bibliothèque privée de la famille Médicis. La bibliothèque est réputée pour son architecture, conçue par Michel-Ange, qui est un exemple de maniérisme,,.
