Juste au nord de l'autoroute A12 et traversé par la ligne de chemin de fer Utrecht – Arnhem se trouve le domaine de Rijnwijck. En raison de son emplacement isolé, il est peu connu et peu visité. La propriété a été construite au début du 17e siècle et a déjà été démolie en 1867. Ce qui reste sont des vestiges du fossé qui entourait l'île sur laquelle la maison se tenait.
Le frêne est caractéristique de la région le long de la Kromme Rijn, comme au domaine de Rijnwijck. Le bois de frêne, très solide, est particulièrement adapté à la fabrication de manches pour outils.
