Le parti più antichi della chiesa sono il pesante campanile quadrato e la parte nord del lato sinistro. Il campanile ha ricevuto il suo specifico tetto nel 1815. Il portale classicheggiante occidentale è stato trasferito nel 1838 dall'abbazia di Affligem, dalla quale la chiesa dipendeva sin dalla prima metà del XII secolo.
Il 25 giugno 1969 una parte della volta è crollata; il restauro è stato completato nel 1990.
Sono molto preziosi il mobilio fisso come confessionali e pannelli, il pulpito, l'organo, le vetrate, i numerosi oggetti d'arte e tesori, le decorazioni e i dipinti che appartengono al patrimonio della chiesa dedicata a O-L-Vrouw-ter-Noodt.
