Overmere è un comune nella provincia belga di Fiandra Orientale e una frazione di Berlare, situato nel triangolo Gent-Aalst-Lokeren.
Nel 1331, Overmere formò un unico feudo con Uitbergen. Inizialmente era di proprietà dei signori di Dendermonde e successivamente dei conti di Fiandra. Quest'ultimi concessero successivamente in feudo alla casa di Massemen nel XIV e XV secolo, alla famiglia du Bois nel XVI secolo, alla famiglia van Coudenhove nel XVII secolo e alle famiglie de Lannoy de Hautpont, de Croy de Beaurainville, van Roosendael e de Heuvel nel XVII e XVIII secolo.
