La Basilica Nazionale del Sacro Cuore, nota anche come la Basilica di Koekelberg, è una chiesa al confine tra Koekelberg e Ganshoren. La basilica è stata costruita in diverse fasi tra il 1905 e il 1970. Può essere considerata il capolavoro dell'architetto gentile Albert Van Huffel (1877-1935).
Dal 1952, la chiesa gode del titolo di "Basilica Minore"
Il maestoso edificio ecclesiastico è stato eretto in stile art déco e rimane fino ad oggi una delle più grandi chiese del Belgio e del mondo.
Sulla "cima" si ha una vista panoramica su Bruxelles e dintorni.
La basilica si trova alla fine del Parco Elisabetta, in cima alla collina di Koekelberg.
