Non è un caso che il cimitero di Hoog Kortrijk porti il nome di ‘Uitzicht’. Passeggia attraverso questo luogo di silenzio verso lo stagno retrostante all'Onument.
Questo Onument è un recente monumento commemorativo circolare del 2021. Rifluisce sulle molte vittime del Covid e rappresenta un luogo di conforto per diverse esperienze di perdita. Possono anche essere organizzati momenti, eventi e rituali. Silenziosi o rumorosi, piccoli o grandi, da vivere insieme o da soli. Ed è comunque un luogo tranquillo, anzi meditativo, con una bella vista sulla pozza d'acqua e sui campi circostanti. Presso lo stagno riposa la scultura in marmo ‘Groot Gebonden Marmer’, un'opera dell'artista di Kortrijk Paul Van Rafelghem.
