Il mulino a vento fu costruito nel 1215 da Lord Jean de Thimougies.
Fu distrutta da un uragano nel 1606 . Fu ricostruita e nuovamente distrutta da una tempesta nel 1771 . Il mugnaio lo ricostruì e il mulino continuò a funzionare fino al 1926. Nel 1943 il sito fu elencato dalla Royal Commission for Monuments and Sites.
Giovedì 10 gennaio 2008 il mulino è crollato di nuovo . È stato ricostruito e inaugurato venerdì 1 aprile 2022.
Il mulino a vento può essere visitato a pagamento per un tour di mezz'ora.
