Il Col de Balme è un valico delle Alpi che si trova al confine tra Francia e Svizzera, tra la valle di Chamonix in Alta Savoia e la valle del Trient nel Canton Vallese. Si trova a 2.190 o 2.191 m sul livello del mare.
Il Col de Balme si trova sul sentiero escursionistico a lunga percorrenza del Tour du Mont-Blanc. Al passo passano altri sentieri che lo collegano al Col des Posettes, agli alpeggi di Charamillon o al rifugio Albert-Ier sul versante savoiardo e all'alpeggio Herbagères, al villaggio di Trient, alla Bisse du Trient e al villaggio di Châtelard sul versante vallesano.
