La Surenburg, un castello sull'acqua nella regione di Tecklenburger Land, si trova a Riesenbeck, un quartiere di Hörstel.
Non ci sono notizie documentate sulla sua origine. Si presume che sia stata fondata come residenza nobiliare dopo la conquista di Bevergern da parte del vescovo di Münster nel 1400. Viene menzionata per la prima volta in un documento nel 1474 come residenza dei Signori von Langen. Nel 1612 passò tramite matrimonio ai Signori von Münster. Nel 1786 fu acquistata dal nobile Carl Heinrich Heereman von Zuydtwyck, originario di Roermond nei Paesi Bassi. I suoi discendenti, oggi rappresentati da Philipp Freiherr Heereman von Zuydtwyck, vi abitano ancora oggi.
