L'impianto di riscaldamento Altchemnitz è una centrale di picco a gas naturale situata a Chemnitz-Altchemnitz. Produzione di teleriscaldamento con due generatori di acqua calda da 116 megawatt di potenza termica ciascuno. L'impianto di riscaldamento è stato costruito con tre generatori di acqua calda e operato a riscaldamento. A partire dal 1981 è stata avviata l'operazione completamente bifuel con petrolio o gas naturale e una potenza totale di 348 megawatt.
