Fuori da Teruel, il percorso sale gradualmente e diventa presto sterrato. Dopo circa 10 km, si incontra una strada ghiaiosa (una ex linea ferroviaria) e sale ulteriormente fino a oltre 1200 m per poi scendere verso Puebla de Valverde, dove il sentiero viene abbandonato. Una strada tranquilla attraverso una zona collinare passa accanto a due deliziosi paesini con nomi particolari: Mora de Rubielos e Rubielos de Mora. Successivamente, una rapida discesa verso Olba (700 m di altitudine), un piccolo paese con servizi limitati.
