L'Oratorio di San Cristoforo si trova all'angolo tra Via Ricciarelli e Via Franceschini a Volterra, in Toscana.
Conserva un affresco della Madonna col Bambino, attribuito al volterrano Mariotto di Andrea (XV secolo), oggetto di grande venerazione.
L'oratorio deve il suo nome anche alla caratteristica piazza antistante.
San Cristoforo è un santo nella Chiesa cattolica romana e nelle Chiese ortodosse orientali. È considerato un santo importante che è stato ed è venerato in molti paesi e periodi. Il suo onomastico è il 24 luglio (prima del Concilio Vaticano II il suo onomastico era il 25 luglio, ma poiché quello è anche l'onomastico dell'apostolo Giacomo, San Cristoforo si commosse un giorno). Nel 1969, però, fu cancellato dal Calendario dei Santi dal Vaticano.
