Geldrop è un comune situato nel comune di Geldrop-Mierlo (provincia di Noord-Brabant), situato lungo il Canale di Eindhoven e attraversato dal piccolo fiume Dommel e dalla linea ferroviaria Eindhoven - Weert. A partire dal 2015, il comune conta 28.664 abitanti. Geldrop si trova nel sud-est dei Paesi Bassi, a circa sei chilometri a sud-est di Eindhoven. Storicamente, Geldrop è sorto da 3 nuclei: il vero Geldrop, Braakhuizen, che si trova a est del piccolo Dommel e Hoog Geldrop a ovest della linea ferroviaria, il principale insediamento dell'ex comune di Zesgehuchten. Nel 1921, il comune di Geldrop si unì a Zesgehuchten, da cui però nel 1972 perse nuovamente una parte a favore del comune di Eindhoven, che comprende il quartiere Tivoli e le frazioni di Riel e Gijzenrooi. Il 1º gennaio 2004 si fusero con Mierlo per formare Geldrop-Mierlo.
