La Westerheide è un'area di brughiera di 344 ha situata nel territorio di Hilversum e Laren. L'area confina con la Bussumerheide, l'A1, l'abitato di Hilversum e la linea ferroviaria Amsterdam-Amersfoort. La brughiera forma un tutt'uno con la Bussumerheide. Sulla frontiera tra le due aree si snoda una strada sterrata diritta di circa 3 km, la Nuova Crailoseweg, nota anche come Preghiera senza fine.
