Nel cuore di Het Groene Woud si trova l'habitat dei cervi nobili. Soprattutto nella seconda metà di settembre, è consigliato percorrere questi sentieri o visitare l'area. Perché in quel periodo è tempo di bramiti e quindi di accoppiamento per il cervo nobile.
Più specificamente, è meglio andare a De Mortelen (o Paljaart) e parzialmente a De Scheeken.
