De Brusselse Kapellekerk is de populaire naam van de gotische Onze-Lieve-Vrouw-ter-Kapellekerk, gelegen aan het einde van de Hoogstraat, nabij de volkse Marollenwijk. (wikipedia, z.d.).
De hertog Godfried I van Brabant liet hier een kleine kapel bouwen in de 12de eeuw. Deze kapel groeide tussen de 13de en de 15de eeuw uit tot een volwaardige kerk.
Dit kerkgebouw is een magnifiek voorbeeld van laat Brabantse gotiek.
Daarnaast is de Kapellekerk ook verbonden met kunstschilder Pieter Bruegel de Oude (1525-1569): hier vond zijn huwelijk plaats en ligt hij begraven. Een grafmonument herrinert aan deze gebeurtenissen. Voor de kerk bevindt zich ook een standbeeld van Bruegel.
De Kapellekerk valt onder het project "Flemish Masters" georganiseerd door Toerisme Vlaanderen.
