Bij de erftoegang van de Hoeve Kastanjehof staan twee opgaande paardenkastanjes. De soortkeuze is atypisch, omdat er traditioneel inheemse soorten zoals linde en eik worden gekozen voor het gebruik als welkomstboom. De bomen zijn beeldbepalend in het straatbeeld. Bij de rechtse paardenkastanje zien we in de kruin het resultaat van een zware takbreuk en is de stam bijgevolg niet meer doorgaand.
