De Sint-Eligiuskerk is de gebedsruimte van de lokale parochie en van de Chaldeeuwse gemeenschap (behoort tot de Oosterse Katholieke kerken). Het is een mooi gerestaureerde (rond 1990) neogotische kerk uit 1905 met een eeijne en kleurrijke binnenafwerking volledig in de stijl van het bouwwerk. Gebeeldhouwde granieten preekstoel en polychrome bas-reliëfkruisweg. Prachtige glasramen. Enig in Antwerpen is het indrukwekkende marmeren praalgraf ter nagedachtenis van Constanse Teichman (Belgisch mecenas, filantroop en beschermster van kunstenaars, 1824 - 1896).
