De Kemitzenstein, ook wel Chamnitzen genoemd, is een 580,6 m boven NN hoge verhoging van de Frankische Alb met een verzameling rotsformaties in de gemeente Bad Staffelstein in de bovenfrankische Landkreis Lichtenfels.
De Kemitzenstein bevindt zich in het natuurpark Frankische Schweiz-Veldensteiner Forst tussen de dorpen Kümmersreuth, een zuidoostelijk stadsdeel van Bad Staffelstein, in het zuidwesten en Rothmannsthal in het oosten, een zuidoostelijk stadsdeel van Lichtenfels; echter behoren slechts de lagere delen van zijn oostelijke en noordoostelijke hellingen tot Lichtenfels.
