Düsseldorf-Garath naar Monheim am Rhein

We starten in Garath en lopen langs de kronkelende Garather Mühlenbach richting de Rijn. We bereiken al snel de Urdenbacher Kämpe, een natuurgebied van topklasse: een oude Rijntak, gevarieerde flora en fauna, ongerepte hoogstamboomgaarden en als hoogtepunt Haus Bürgel - informatiepunt, museum, distilleerderij, gebouwd op de muren van een Romeins fort uit de 4e eeuw.
Achter Haus Bürgel bereiken we de Rijn en lopen langs de promenade langs de oever en bereiken Monheim am Rhein. Het Piwipper Böötchen lokt voor een korte uitstap naar de andere kant van de Rijn.
