De Llotja van de Koopmans van Palma werd gebouwd door Guillem Sagrera tussen 1426 en 1447, en voltooid door Guillem Vilasclar, voor het College van de Koopmans. De zuidelijke gevel maakte deel uit van de zeewalling van de stad en weerkaatste in de zee, waarvan het vandaag de dag gescheiden is. Het is een van de belangrijkste gebouwen van de burgerlijke gotiek van de Balearen en een van de beste in Europa.
