Bourtange is een vestingdorp met aangrenzende moderne kom in de provincie Groningen, dat tussen 1580 en 1593 tijdens de Nederlandse Opstand is aangelegd. Bourtange ligt in de gemeente Westerwolde, in de gelijknamige streek. Het vestingdorp is een beschermd dorpsgezicht. Ten noordwesten van de vesting ligt de rest van de kom van het dorp.
