Nergens is het Hanzestedenverleden zo voelbaar als in Elburg. Dat heeft alles te maken met de nabijheid van het haventje waar ooit talrijke schepen aanmeerden. Tot 1932 was dit een belangrijke haven aan de Zuiderzee, maar dit is verdwenen door inpoldering. Nu is de haven van Elburg een toeristische trekpleister. We zien er houten boten liggen die met toeristen op sleeptouw rondvaren.
