Aquesta porta neogòtica va ser construïda en pedra calcària l'any 1838 pel príncep François-Joseph de Riquet de Caraman-Chimay al lloc d'una antiga porta d'estil renaixentista construïda per Charles de Croy cap al 1606.
El monument s'obre sobre tres arcs de mig punt , dos dels quals destinats a vianants i un a vehicles, i es caracteritza pel seu fris d'arcs trilobulats i la seva imponent arquivolta sobre culottes. A banda i banda, l'escut principesc de pedra blanca penja sobre un filacteri amb el lema "JUVAT PIETAS". Hi ha gravada una inscripció il·legible a la pedra de la coberta. A dalt, l'estructura consta d'un àtic entre dobles volutes i un coixí triangular decorat amb una esfera i decorat amb un cartoix esvaït.
