Aquest edifici va ser dissenyat l'any 1918 per l'arquitecte Ramón Balbuena y Huertas i ampliat l'any 1927 per Manuel Cuadrillero Sáez.
L'edifici Laredo pren el nom de l'antic i històric Bar Laredo , que es va instal·lar a l'edifici l'any 1945.
És un clar exemple de l'arquitectura regionalista sevillana. . Aquest edifici tan característic, amb el maó vist tan popular en el primer terç del segle XX, té altres trets singulars de l'estil arquitectònic, com barres o ceràmica. Destaquen de la façana les grans persianes de fusta , les bandes i els quadrats de rajola artística policromada, el delicat treball de ferro forjat de les baranes i el remate superior format per gerros de ceràmica.
Actualment pertany a l'Ajuntament i és la seu de diverses delegacions. En aquestes instal·lacions té la seu el Consorci de Turisme de Sevilla .
