Pays des Collines er et smukt naturområde med stærkt skovrige områder (som de smukke skove Bois d'Hubermont, Bois de St-Amand, Boid d'Antoing,...) skåret af de små floder, og også mange åbne marker og engområder. Kort sagt: en enorm variation. Pays des Collines er et stærkt skåret interfluviu mellem Scheldedal mod vest og Dendervalle mod øst. De højeste bakker ligger cirka 150 meter over havets overflade. Det er en fortsættelse af de flamske Ardennerne syd for sproggrænsen nær heksedalen Ellezelles.
