Denne moderne brønd minder om de gallo-romerske rester, der blev opdaget i 1993 under udgravningen af de antikke termiske bade i Niederbronnois. To halve søjleskafter af sandsten, der i øjeblikket er udstillet i Maison de l'Archéologie, blev faktisk opdaget ved denne byggeplads og stammer sandsynligvis fra nordfacaden af koldtvandsbassinet. Århundrede til rekonstruktionen af Merkur-templet nær Wasenbourg.
