et aflangt område ligger langs den Nye Maas foden af Erasmusbroen og er siden årtusindskiftet præget af højhuse og moderne faciliteter. Blandt andet Luxor Teatret og Holland Amerika Linien ligger på Wilhelminapiren.
I september 2014 besøgte Oasis of the Seas, verdens største krydstogtskib, færgeterminalen. For at kunne modtage skibe af denne størrelse fik terminalen en ny anløbsbro. Også resten af Wilhelminapiren bliver moderniseret, så flere krydstogtskibe i fremtiden kan lægge til.[2]
