Das Lakerhof ist einer der historischen Höfen von Kessenich. Erste Erwähnung 1541 als Eigentum der Familie von Waes, 1804 verkauft an Baron Michiels. Am Rande des morastigen Tals der Itterbeek gelegen, wurde es bereits auf der Ferraris-Karte (1771-77) als Cse Laekerhoff in Form eines zweigeteilten Hofes angezeigt, beide Gebäude quer zur Straße; in derselben Form ist es in dem Atlas der Nachbarschaftsstraßen (1845) dargestellt.
