Die Hirtenkapelle ist eine hölzerne Straßenkapelle mit einer Marienstatue.
Auf der Katasterkarte von Popp (um 1850) ist an dieser Stelle bereits eine Kapelle verzeichnet. Die heutige Kapelle wurde im 20. Jahrhundert wiederaufgebaut. Angeblich wurde sie im 19. Jahrhundert von einem Hirten des nahegelegenen Hoeckaert-Hofs als Dank für die Heilung gegründet.
Die Kapelle trägt die Inschrift „Ihr, die ihr hier zu Pferd oder zu Fuß vorübergeht, ehrt Maria mit einem Ave Maria“. In der Nähe der Kapelle steht eine Bank als Einladung zum Gebet.
